Notre Dame and Oregon vie for 4-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks

Four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks, a 2027 recruit from Brother Rice in Chicago, is set to announce his college commitment on July 23. Ranked No. 185 overall and No. 22 at his position by Rivals, Parks has narrowed his choices to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Oregon Ducks.

Parks visited both South Bend and Eugene, praising the culture at Notre Dame and noting the strong recent performance of both programs’ coaching staffs. Oregon, which currently leads the Big Ten and sits fourth nationally in the 2027 class rankings, hopes the commitment will further solidify its defensive line. Notre Dame, a perennial top‑five preseason contender, also views Parks as a key addition to its defense.

The decision will be announced publicly on July 23, and whichever school secures his pledge will claim a significant recruiting win in the Midwest‑to‑Pacific Northwest pipeline.
