Notre Dame defeats Navy 35-13 at Gillette Stadium

No. 5 Notre Dame secured its ninth consecutive victory over Navy with a 35-13 win at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Despite a slow start, the Fighting Irish (7-1) pulled away in the second half by scoring 21 unanswered points.

Navy (2-6) controlled much of the first half using a ball-control strategy, leading 13-7 late in the second quarter. Navy quarterback Jackson Gutierrez rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, helping the Midshipmen maintain a significant time-of-possession advantage. However, Notre Dame running back Nolan James Jr. shifted the momentum with a 52-yard touchdown run late in the first half.

In the second half, Notre Dame dominated, scoring on each of its first three possessions. CJ Carr completed 19 of 29 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns, including a 31-yard strike to Jerome Bettis Jr. Other scoring contributors for the Irish included Jonaz Walton, who added a 3-yard touchdown run, and James, who scored a second time on a 23-yard run.
