Notre Dame faces playoff pressure following CFP rankings

The College Football Playoff Committee has released its initial rankings, placing Notre Dame at number 11. This ranking follows a slide from previous AP Poll positions and has led to speculation that the Fighting Irish must win their upcoming matchup against Miami to maintain playoff contention.

Analysts have noted that Notre Dame's resume lacks high-profile wins, though the team remains highly ranked in metrics such as FPI and game control. The current rankings have also drawn scrutiny regarding other teams, specifically the placement of Indiana at number 4 despite their recent performance.
