Notre Dame football: Adon Shuler avoids serious injury scare

During Notre Dame's fall camp practice on Saturday, safety and two-time captain Adon Shuler experienced a brief injury scare. Shuler limped off the field after the first play of a two-minute drill, receiving treatment for his right knee and foot, which included the application of a compression sleeve. However, reports indicate the injury may not be serious, as Shuler was seen returning to his group and appearing to be in high spirits after speaking with trainers and staff.

Elsewhere in camp, the Notre Dame defense has begun full-contact 11-on-11 work. The secondary is currently being shaped by a mix of veterans and newcomers. Senior defensive back Christian Gray is expected to anchor the unit, while junior Leonard Moore continues to serve as a key player. The coaching staff is also integrating transfer defensive back DJ McKinney into the defensive system.
