Notre Dame players CJ Carr and Leonard Moore named to award watch lists

Two Notre Dame players, quarterback CJ Carr and cornerback Leonard Moore, have been named to the 2026 Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List. Notre Dame is one of only five programs to have both an offensive and defensive player selected for the list.

CJ Carr enters the season following a performance where he threw for 2,741 yards and 24 touchdowns across 12 games. He previously earned a spot on the Maxwell Award Watch List. Leonard Moore, a unanimous All-American last season, led the team with five interceptions and was also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, which recognizes the best defensive back in college football.
