The No. 4 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face the Wisconsin Badgers in their 2026 college football season opener on September 6 at Lambeau Field. The matchup marks the first time head coaches Marcus Freeman and Luke Fickell will face each other on opposing sidelines.

Notre Dame enters the season following a 10-2 campaign in 2025. The team is expected to be led by quarterback CJ Carr and features a defense that includes top-graded cornerback Leonard Moore.
