Notre Dame defeats Wisconsin 41-13 at Lambeau Field

No. 4 Notre Dame defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 41-13 in their season opener at Lambeau Field. While the game was competitive in the first half, with Notre Dame holding a slim 13-10 lead, the Fighting Irish pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Badgers 28-3 in the second half.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr threw two touchdown passes, and Aneyas Williams contributed two rushing touchdowns and 90 rushing yards. Despite the victory, Notre Dame’s run game showed signs of struggle, as multiple replacements failed to average five yards per carry.

Wisconsin’s performance was highlighted by quarterback Colton Joseph, who completed 19-of-30 passes for 217 yards and one touchdown. Special teams provided a bright spot for the Badgers when punter Sean West delivered a 69-yard punt that pinned Notre Dame inside the one-yard line. However, Wisconsin ultimately succumbed to defensive lapses and turnovers in the second half.
