Nottingham Forest eyes Ousmane Diomande and Liam Delap in summer transfer push

Nottingham Forest are close to completing the signing of Ivory Coast defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP. The club is reported to be prepared to pay around £35 million with an additional £5 million in add‑ons, and Diomande has been training away from Sporting’s first‑team squad, suggesting the move is imminent.

The Forest also remain linked with Chelsea forward Liam Delap. After a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge, Delap is expected to leave for a fee reported between £40 million and £48 million, which would set a club record. Manager Oliver Glasner has indicated a desire for a powerful striker to partner Chris Wood, and Forest have been mentioned alongside Everton, Newcastle United and Leeds United as potential suitors. Other clubs have either ruled out interest or are still assessing the deal.

Both targets are part of Forest’s broader recruitment drive ahead of the Premier League season opener, with the club aiming to strengthen its defence and attack under Glasner’s leadership.
