Nottingham Forest transfer updates: Khalaili move and Kalimuendo standoff

Nottingham Forest is navigating several transfer market developments as the new season approaches. The club has missed out on signing wing-back Anan Khalaili, who is joining Crystal Palace from Union Saint-Gilloise in a deal valued at £21 million.

In player departures, Forest is seeking to move forward with Arnaud Kalimuendo. While Real Betis has expressed interest in the French forward, the Spanish club reportedly views Forest’s €35 million asking price as ‘unattainable’. Kalimuendo, who previously had a successful loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt, remains at the City Ground but may be available for sale or a loan with a significant purchase obligation.

On the incoming side, Forest is closing in on defender Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP. The club continues to evaluate its squad depth following the high-profile sale of Elliot Anderson to Manchester City.
