Nottingham Forest wins 2-0 in Oliver Glasner's first match as manager

Nottingham Forest opened their pre‑season campaign with a 2‑0 friendly victory over Notts County at Meadow Lane, marking Oliver Glasner's debut as head coach. Goals came from Brazilian forward Igor Jesus and loan striker Arnaud Kalimuendo, who scored the second after a cross from Dilane Bakwa. Defender Ola Aina started the first half, helping keep a clean sheet, while striker Taiwo Awoniyi was introduced in the second half as Glasner rotated his squad.

Glasner praised Kalimuendo’s performance but left his future uncertain, noting the player remains on Forest's books despite interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, who hold an option to sign him permanently after last season’s loan. The win gives the new manager a positive start as the club prepares for the 2026‑27 season.
