Nottinghamshire roadworks and bus diversions scheduled for October
Nottinghamshire County Council has announced a series of road improvement schemes scheduled for October across the Gedling borough. These works are part of a £181.25 million highways maintenance programme aimed at resurfacing, preventative maintenance, and targeted repairs to extend the lifespan of the county’s road network.
Key projects include resurfacing on the A60 Mansfield Road and Killisick Road in Arnold, as well as improvements to Victoria Road in Netherfield. In Carlton, patching works will be conducted on Marhill Road, Primrose Street, and Crow Hill Road using new JCB Pothole Pro machines. Other planned works include repairs on Conway Crescent and Silverwood Avenue in Ravenshead.
In addition to roadworks, commuters face significant bus diversions during the week of October 5. Disruptions from NCT and Trentbarton will affect West Bridgford, Arnold, and Carlton. Specifically, Gordon Road works in West Bridgford will cause diversions for several Green and mainline routes. In Nottingham city centre, temporary arrangements remain in place due to ongoing demolition works on Maid Marian Way, affecting various Orange and Turquoise bus routes.
