Nouri Petrochemical receives fourth Green Industry award
Nouri Petrochemical Company has been awarded the ‘Green Industry’ title for the fourth time at the 25th National Conference on Industry, Mining, and Green Services. The award was presented by high-ranking officials, including the First Vice President and the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
The recognition follows an evaluation of the company’s environmental performance, including energy consumption, waste management, air and water pollution control, and sustainable development. Key technical achievements cited include the design of a large-scale flare gas recovery project using a domestic license (NOSEP) and the first-ever production of Euro 6 diesel in the country.
Additionally, the company was recognized for its biodiversity conservation efforts, such as supporting humpback dolphins in the Persian Gulf and contributing to the development of over 50 hectares of mangrove forests. Reports indicate the company has maintained a record of no environmental warnings, fines, or complaints regarding waste, air, or wastewater during its years of operation.
