Nové Město na Moravě Hospital hosts medical student camp

The Nové Město na Moravě Hospital hosted its second annual medical student camp, providing medical students from various faculties with hands-on experience and professional insights.

The morning program included hospital excursions, visits to outpatient clinics and specific departments, and a sonography workshop. In the afternoon, participants engaged in local sightseeing.

A highlight of the event was a discussion with renowned cardiologist Professor Jan Pirk. During the session, Pirk encouraged students to ask any questions and shared personal reflections on his medical career, including his student years and the importance of passion in choosing a professional specialization. He emphasized that no medical field is superior to another, stating, ‘It is important whether it is done with the heart.’
