Nové Město na Moravě hospital launches first aid club for children

A hospital in Nové Město na Moravě has launched a new experiential first aid club for children titled ‘Mise: Zachraň život’ (Mission: Save a Life). During the inaugural session, children learned fundamental emergency response skills under the guidance of experienced instructors.

The curriculum focused on how to call for help, including the use of the ‘Záchranka’ emergency application. Participants also studied heart anatomy and function, learned about cardiac arrest, and practiced resuscitation techniques on both adults and children.

As part of the program, the children visited the Intensive Care Unit (ARO), where they observed medical staff caring for patients and saw various medical devices in action. Some children also had the opportunity to have an EKG recorded and monitor oxygen saturation levels.
