Nova Bukovica celebrates Municipality Day and honors local contributors

The Nova Bukovica Municipal Council held a ceremonial session to celebrate the Municipality Day and the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The event included tributes to Croatian defenders, with wreaths and lanterns laid at monuments on Dr. Franjo Tuđman Square.

During the session, Municipal Council President Anica Milosavljević highlighted the community's achievements and thanked local contributors, including associations, businesses, and volunteers. Mayor Tomislav Bračun presented the municipality's major capital investments from the past year and upcoming planned projects.

As part of the celebrations, public recognitions were awarded to individuals for their contributions to the community. Recipients included Željka Kraljik for promoting Slovak cultural heritage, Ružica Schmidt for donating land for a school sports hall, Nenad Križić for supporting veterans, Vesna Zrinščak for cultural preservation, and Luka Matić for local economic development. Additionally, several frequent blood donors were honored for their humanitarian contributions.
