Nova Cruz residents offered free LED bulb exchanges and social tariff registration

In Nova Cruz, residents have until Friday (11th) to access services provided by Neoenergia Cosern’s ‘Energia com Cidadania’ mobile unit. Located in the city center, the initiative focuses on energy efficiency and social inclusion.

Key services include the exchange of inefficient light bulbs for LED models to reduce monthly energy bills and the registration or updating of the ‘Tarifa Social de Energia Elétrica’ (TSEE). This federal benefit provides electricity discounts for low-income families. According to Neoenergia Cosern, 742 families in Nova Cruz risk losing their social tariff benefits due to outdated registration data, while 2,340 other families qualify for the discount but have not yet enrolled.
