Nova Gradiška hosts PRO 3x3 Tour basketball tournament

Nova Gradiška was the venue for the seventh stop of the PRO 3x3 Tour driven by Opel on Friday and Saturday. The two‑day event combined high‑level 3×3 basketball, a Kids’ Day program and a charity drive called “Svi smo uz tebe Hrva!” to support injured KK Strmac player Hrva and his family. Proceeds from shirt sales and a tombola were earmarked for his care.

The competition saw a mixed‑age men's team win the final 14‑12, the women’s Open claimed a 20‑11 victory, and the U19 side from Vinkovci remained unbeaten. In the Elite bracket, Derventa MBet defeated the Hungarian representative HUN 3. Winners earned a place in the season‑ending tournament in Novalja, where the champion will secure a direct entry to the FIBA 3×3 Challenger in Mataró, Spain. The programme also featured performances by the Dunking Devils acrobatic group and local majorettes.

Organisers and local officials praised the event. “We are extremely satisfied with how everything went,” said Sabina Vlaović, deputy mayor of Nova Gradiška. “Special thanks to the organizers for this spectacular showcase.” The tour will continue with stops in Umago and Šibenik before concluding in Novalja on 31 July‑1 August.
