Nova Iguaçu students secure jobs through EJA partnership

Students in the Youth and Adult Education (EJA) program in Nova Iguaçu are securing employment opportunities through the ‘Emprego Apoiado’ initiative. This program is a partnership between the Municipal Education Secretariat (SEMED) and the company Granfino.

The initiative focuses on helping students with disabilities enter the workforce by bridging the gap between educational training and professional experience. Participants receive individualized support and guidance tailored to their specific needs and the requirements of the job vacancies.

One participant, Luiz Henrique da Costa Pina, has worked at Granfino for 13 years, having started at age 16. The program aims to foster autonomy and independence, allowing students to develop professional relationships and expand their qualifications for the labor market.
