Nova Iguaçu to host animal adoption event at TopShopping

The Nova Iguaçu City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat for Animal Defense and Protection (SEMDEPA), is hosting a municipal dog and cat adoption campaign. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at TopShopping.

A total of 17 animals are available for adoption, consisting of 14 dogs and three cats. All participating animals have been vaccinated and dewormed. The initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare within the municipality.

Prospective adopters must be at least 18 years old and undergo an evaluation process, which includes completing a form regarding their residence, family routine, and the living conditions they can provide for the animal. Marcelo Reis, the municipal secretary for animal defense and protection, stated that the goal is to connect these animals with individuals prepared to provide lifelong care and affection.
