Nova Mokošica unveils new church and pastoral center project

The project for a new parish church and pastoral center for the Holy Family Parish in Nova Mokošica has been presented to the local community. Following the acquisition of a building permit, parish priest Don Marinko Šljivić introduced the plans designed by the Dubrovnik-based firm TRAMES d. o. o.

The project aims to provide a dedicated sacred space for the youngest parish in the Dubrovnik Diocese, which has functioned without its own church for 30 years. The architectural concept is inspired by the title of the Holy Family, using a ‘hug’ as a central metaphor to symbolize unity, closeness, and protection.

Šljivić expressed gratitude to the City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and local donors for their support in reaching this milestone after seven years of work. He called upon the community to continue supporting the project through donations to ensure its timely completion.
