Nova Olímpia and Porto Velho implement measures to boost entrepreneurship

In Nova Olímpia, the municipal government has inaugurated the 'Sala do Empreendedor' (Entrepreneur Room) to support local business development. The new space aims to bridge the gap between the public sector and entrepreneurs by providing access to information, guidance, training, and services necessary to open, regularize, or expand businesses. The initiative was attended by Mayor Ari Cândido Batista and representatives from various institutions, including Sebrae/MT and local commercial associations.

Meanwhile, Porto Velho has reported a continuous increase in business registrations for the second consecutive year. Data from the Rondônia Board of Trade (Jucer) shows that over 6,263 companies were registered in the capital during the first half of 2026, marking a 7.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. The municipal Secretary of Economy, Wagner Garcia, attributed this growth to a strengthening business environment. The local administration is currently planning to further reduce bureaucracy through a new digital platform expected to be operational by 2027.
