Nova Olímpia Guardianship Council conducts bullying awareness lecture

The Guardianship Council of Nova Olímpia conducted an awareness lecture for 7th-grade students at the Escola Estadual Cívico Militar Francisca de Souza Alencar. Led by counselors Carla, Luciene, and Salete, the session focused on the characteristics and consequences of bullying and cyberbullying both within and outside the school environment.

Participants were informed about relevant legislation and the legal punishments for such violence. The presentation distinguished between physical, verbal, and psychological bullying—such as threats, humiliation, and exclusion—and cyberbullying, which occurs through digital messages, posts, and comments.

To encourage reflection, students participated in a dynamic titled ‘Words that wound and words that heal,’ identifying harmful expressions versus those that promote empathy and support. Educational pamphlets were distributed to assist in the identification, prevention, and reporting of these behaviors.
