Nova Olímpia schools participate in Mato Grosso inclusive mathematics fair

The municipality of Nova Olímpia participated in the 1st Inclusive Mathematics Fair of Mato Grosso, held on September 9 in Tangará da Serra. Represented by the Municipal Secretariat of Education and Culture (SEMEC), six municipal schools presented 20 projects developed by teachers.

The initiatives focused on pedagogical innovation and inclusive practices, specifically aiming to connect mathematics education to the students' reality. Two projects from the municipal network received ‘Honra ao Mérito’ (Honorable Mention) for their quality and relevance. A notable aspect of the participation was the involvement of neurodivergent students in the activities.

Débora Cristiane Ferreira, the Secretary of Education for Nova Olímpia, stated that the fair provided a significant opportunity for professionals to exchange experiences and strengthen discussions regarding new methodologies for inclusive and innovative mathematics teaching.
