Rio Grande do Sul funds disaster preparedness and launches public hiring drives
The Rio Grande do Sul state government approved the transfer of R$ 32.3 million to 138 municipalities for disaster mitigation, prevention and preparation. Funds range from R$ 200 thousand to R$ 300 thousand per municipality and will be transferred directly from the State Civil Protection Fund to municipal civil defense funds without the need for additional agreements.
The municipality of Santa Rosa announced a public concurso offering two immediate teaching positions and a technical reserve, with salaries up to R$ 3 367,92 for a 20‑hour week and a R$ 700 meal allowance. Applications are open online until mid‑August.
Nova Santa Rosa opened a simplified selection process for two temporary speech‑therapist roles, paying R$ 4 724,98 for a 40‑hour week. Registration is free and online, closing in early August. All three initiatives aim to strengthen public services in the state.
