Nova Scotia reports dam breach, school attack plot and hate charges

Several legal and emergency incidents are unfolding across Nova Scotia. In Lunenburg County, emergency officials are working to stabilize a breach at the Dares Lake dam, which serves as a primary drinking water source for the area.

In Bridgewater, a 16-year-old boy faces charges including conspiracy to commit murder and uttering threats after allegedly plotting attacks on students at two high schools, including Park View Education Centre. The case has been adjourned until November to allow the youth to access services following his bail in July.

Additionally, new charges have been laid against an Eastern Shore man regarding a viral racist incident that occurred at a Bayers Lake Costco in Halifax on July 4. The man is accused of inciting hatred during the tirade.
