Nova Twins headline female-led rock showcase in São Paulo

British rock duo Nova Twins performed their first headlining show in Brazil and South America at Cine Joia in São Paulo. The event, titled ‘É Tudo Delas’, featured a lineup of female-led acts including The Mönic and MC Taya.

The Mönic delivered a heavy performance that emphasized interaction with the audience, while MC Taya presented ‘Metal Mandrake’, a fusion of heavy guitar riffs with funk, trap, and rap. Taya used her platform to discuss social issues, including education and minority rights.

In other music news, the trio Big Marias from Palmas, Tocantins, released their EP ‘Hungry heart’. The release blends punk, stoner, grunge, and doom influences, drawing comparisons to artists such as Nirvana, Black Sabbath, and Hole.
