Novak Djokovic defeated Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas 6‑3, 6‑4, 6‑2 in the Wimbledon second round, advancing to the third round where he will face Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech. The match lasted 1 hour 38 minutes on the Centre Court under a closed roof.

After the win Djokovic commented on the need for tennis to attract younger audiences, suggesting format and rule changes, and defended Serena Williams’s comeback, urging critics to “cool down.” He also apologized to a ball‑girl whom he startled while requesting a towel.
