Novak Djokovic marked his 39th birthday on 22 May while at the French Open in Paris. The tournament arranged a celebration with a cake on the courts, continuing a tradition of birthday observances at Roland Garros.

During the birthday festivities Djokovic posted a photograph from Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie, a Parisian street named after King Peter I of Serbia. The avenue, located in the 8th arrondissement, is notable for its connection to Serbian history and houses the Galeries Lafayette Palace, home to the Paris Fashion Museum. The post highlighted the cultural link between Djokovic’s homeland and the city where he competes.

Djokovic entered the tournament as the third seed after Carlos Alcaraz’s withdrawal and is scheduled to play his first‑round match against French player Juvan‑Mpeši in the evening session.
