Novak Djokovic documentary ‘The Wolf in Winter’ released

The new 92-minute documentary ‘Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter’ has been released on Amazon Prime. Directed by Jason Heir, who also directed ‘The Last Dance’, the film follows Djokovic through significant career milestones, including his recovery from knee surgery, his Wimbledon final, and his Olympic gold medal win.

Djokovic was heavily involved in the production and editing process. The film also touches upon sensitive personal topics, such as his upbringing in Yugoslavia and his 2022 deportation from Australia. While Djokovic initially resisted discussing his potential retirement, director Jason Heir convinced him to address the subject, noting that the public is fascinated by the longevity of his career.

The documentary also features a brief appearance by former rival Andy Murray, whom Djokovic appointed as a coach in late 2024, though their professional collaboration was short-lived.
