Novak Djokovic vows to return to Wimbledon after semi‑final loss to Jannik Sinner

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic was defeated in the Wimbledon semi‑final by world No. 1 Jannik Sinner, who won 6‑4, 6‑4, 6‑4. Djokovic said Sinner was “much better” and that he was “late by half a step on almost every shot.” Despite the loss, Djokovic affirmed his intention to play at the All England Club again, adding, “I would like to return at least once more” and leaving the door open for a possible appearance in 2027.

He also expressed irritation with constant talk about his pursuit of a 25th Grand Slam title, saying the pressure from media and close associates “started to bother me.” Former champion Martina Navratilova noted that Djokovic’s limited tournament schedule may be affecting his sharpness and suggested he needs more match play to stay competitive. Djokovic remains confident in his ability to compete at the highest level when healthy and looks ahead to the US Open later in the season.
