Novak Djokovic targets 2028 Olympics for potential retirement

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has expressed his intention to potentially retire following the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The 39-year-old Serbian player, who holds a record 24 Grand Slam singles titles, stated in an interview with ‘Sport’ that competing in the 2028 Games remains a primary goal and a dream for his career finale.

Djokovic noted that while he aims to finish his career representing Serbia at the Olympics, his ability to do so depends on his physical and mental health. He acknowledged that factors beyond his control will influence his final decision.

In addition to his retirement plans, Djokovic explained that he has adjusted his tournament schedule to prioritize family life and personal balance, seeking more time to fulfill roles as a husband and father while maintaining tennis as the center of his professional life.
