Novaland financial rumors trigger Ho Chi Minh City Police investigation

The Ho Chi Minh City Police have launched an investigation into social media posts regarding the financial status and solvency of the real estate company Novaland. Following reports of misinformation spreading across platforms such as Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Zalo, Viber, and Telegram, criminal police conducted a review of relevant accounts.

During an interrogation on October 7, an individual named Do Minh Quang admitted to using his personal Facebook account to post false information about Novaland’s operations. He stated the posts were intended to attract attention, likes, and views to his profile. These unverified claims gained significant traction through likes, comments, and shares, impacting the company’s reputation and legal interests. Authorities are continuing to investigate other accounts to identify further individuals or organizations involved in spreading misinformation.
