Novaland Group misinformation investigation by Ho Chi Minh City Police

Ho Chi Minh City Police are investigating the spread of false information regarding the financial stability and solvency of Novaland Group. The investigation follows a formal complaint filed by the real estate corporation against various accounts on social media platforms, including Facebook, Threads, TikTok, Zalo, Viber, and Telegram.

On October 7, authorities questioned Do Minh Quang, a 44-year-old resident of Tan Son Nhi Ward. Quang reportedly admitted to using his personal Facebook account to post inaccurate information about Novaland's operations to gain social media engagement, such as likes and views.

Police stated that these unverified posts attracted significant interaction, potentially damaging the company's reputation and business operations. The Criminal Police Department is currently gathering electronic data and evidence to identify and prosecute other individuals or organizations involved in disseminating these rumors.
