Novaland projects in Ho Chi Minh City undergo legal review
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has requested local authorities to review and resolve legal obstacles facing two major real estate projects owned by Novaland Group in Ho Chi Minh City. This directive follows instructions from the Government regarding reports and petitions submitted by the enterprise.
The two projects under review are the Thanh My Loi B residential area, covering 136 hectares, and the Binh Khanh – The Water Bay resettlement area, covering approximately 30.2 hectares within the Thu Thiem New Urban Area. The Ministry has urged local authorities to conduct inspections to clarify the current status, causes of delays, and the responsibilities of involved individuals or organizations.
For the Thanh My Loi B project, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee holds the authority to adjust the implementation schedule, subject to input from the Ministry of Finance. Regarding the Binh Khanh – The Water Bay project, authorities are evaluating whether it qualifies for special mechanisms under Resolution 29/2026/QH16, as previous land allocation decisions were revoked following findings of violations related to investor selection and land management.
