Novandino Litio expands inclusion program for 60+ in San Pedro

Novandino Litio and the non‑profit Fundación Miradas Compartidas have renewed a three‑year collaboration to run an inclusion program in the San Pedro de Atacama commune. The partnership now offers free workshops in football, karate, integrated arts, cooking and recreational activities, extending to nearby localities such as Toconao, Socaire and Camar.

The program serves more than 60 children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities, aiming to improve autonomy, social skills and quality of life. Barbara Blümel, manager of Communities and Public Affairs at Novandino Litio, said the initiative provides tools for the territory’s future generations. Felipe Olavarría, general manager of Fundación Miradas Compartidas, highlighted the joint effort’s role in decentralising development opportunities. Participants, including cooking‑workshop attendee Michael Rojas, reported gaining new skills and confidence.
