Novara political groups demand clarity on pediatric care

Political groups in Novara, including the Partito Democratico, Movimento 5 Stelle, and Insieme per Novara, are calling for clarity regarding the cessation of the Territorial Pediatric Assistance Point (PAPT) scheduled for October 1, 2026. The service currently provides pediatric care on Saturday mornings when regular doctors are unavailable.

The groups have expressed concern that without a clearly defined replacement service, families may be forced to rely on emergency rooms for non-emergency pediatric needs. They are filing a joint motion to urge the Mayor and the Council to coordinate with the ASL Novara and the Piedmont Region to ensure continuous territorial pediatric assistance is maintained.
