Novara Province prioritizes social cooperatives for maintenance services

The Province of Novara has approved a new policy to favor Type B social cooperatives and their consortia for the management of services within provincial buildings. Under Decree n. 115 issued on October 15, 2026, the administration aims to combine the maintenance of provincial assets with the social goal of facilitating job placement for disadvantaged individuals.

The policy targets labor-intensive services, including green area maintenance, grass cutting, shrub removal, garden cleaning, and moving or porterage services at provincial properties. Future service contracts will include specific social clauses to ensure the effective integration and support of disadvantaged workers, utilizing existing legal frameworks regarding social cooperatives and public contracts.
