Italian law enforcement has conducted several operations targeting various criminal activities, including a wave of gold necklace thefts and a high-profile robbery involving elderly victims.

In Novara, a 43-year-old man was arrested at Roma Termini station after using a ‘fake carabiniere’ scam to rob an elderly couple. The suspect, aided by accomplices making threatening phone calls, entered the victims' home and stole cash, jewelry, and a Beretta pistol. The victims were physically assaulted when they attempted to recover their belongings. Police recovered 24 gold items and the firearm from the suspect's backpack.

In Turin, police arrested an 18-year-old and a 30-year-old in the Aurora district for snatching gold necklaces, sometimes using scooters to facilitate the thefts. Meanwhile, in Baranzate, a series of muggings targeting gold jewelry has caused growing concern among residents.

Other recent arrests include a 39-year-old in Turin for violating house arrest and assaulting officers, and a man in Villa San Giovanni caught evading house arrest while attempting to board a train to the north. Additionally, in San Nicola la Strada, authorities are investigating an ambush where three masked individuals used an iron bar to break into an Audi SQ5, forcing the occupants to flee.
