Novartis reports Q2 sales growth driven by priority brands

Novartis reported a 1% increase in second-quarter net sales (3% in USD) for 2026, driven by strong performance from priority brands including Kisqali, Kesimpta, Scemblix, Pluvicto, and Leqvio. While net sales grew, core operating income remained flat, and net income declined by 19% compared to the previous year.

The company highlighted several clinical and regulatory milestones, including the approval of Itvisma as a gene replacement therapy for certain SMA patients and the submission of Del-zota to the FDA for accelerated approval in DMD. Novartis reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting low single-digit sales growth and a low single-digit decline in core operating income.
