Novastart introduces multi-agent AI system for simultaneous computer use

Novastart has announced a new method for artificial intelligence interaction that allows up to 10 AI agents to operate on a single computer simultaneously. Unlike traditional AI systems that require the user to relinquish control of the mouse and keyboard to the agent, Novastart provides each agent with its own independent cursor and keyboard within the operating system.

Users can observe the agents working in real time on an infinite canvas, seeing them click, type, and navigate through various applications while the human user continues to work independently. This approach is designed to function like a team of digital colleagues rather than a single assistant taking over the machine.

According to Thomas Fraher, co-founder and CTO of Novastart, the system allows for complex task delegation. A lead agent can distribute work among up to 10 assistant agents, each working in separate windows or applications—such as one agent researching in a browser while another organizes data in a spreadsheet—all occurring at the same time.
