Novellara: Man reported for assaulting ex-partner and her daughter

A 64-year-old man from Fabbrico has been reported to authorities following a violent escalation against his former partner and her daughter in Novellara. The incident began when the man, who had offered to assist his 56-year-old ex-partner with home renovations, realized she had no intention of resuming their romantic relationship.

During a car journey, the man allegedly assaulted the woman, causing her head to strike the vehicle's pillar. The following day, the man returned to the woman's home under the pretext of retrieving personal belongings. When denied entry, he reportedly attempted to strike the woman and threw a glass table inside the residence.

The woman's 18-year-old daughter intervened to protect her mother and was struck in the face. The violence continued outdoors, where the man allegedly threw tools at windows and damaged the family vehicle by slashing tires and kicking the car. Both the mother and daughter received medical treatment in Guastalla for injuries expected to heal within two weeks. The Carabinieri of Novellara have filed charges for personal injury, threats, and property damage.
