Novellara rolls out 'eliminacode' queue‑free digital service

The Comune di Novellara in Italy has launched a new digital queue‑management tool called “eliminacode” at its URP (Ufficio Relazioni con il Pubblico). The system integrates with the municipality’s online appointment platform, letting citizens pick the day, time and type of service, and it can handle both free‑access counters and scheduled appointments at the same time.

The project was funded through the national “Risorse in Comune” grant. It is intended to cut waiting times, automatically call users via an on‑site screen that also shows news, service alerts and communal events, and it forms part of Novellara’s broader push toward digitalisation of public services.
