November 2026 discount dates announced amid pricing concerns
The 2026 discount calendar for November has been outlined, with key shopping dates including the 11.11 Singles' Day on November 11, Black Friday on November 27, and Cyber Monday on November 30. While early November sales are expected to begin around November 1, specific campaign schedules vary by brand and platform.
Amidst these upcoming sales, concerns regarding deceptive pricing practices have emerged, particularly within the cosmetics sector. Observations indicate that some retailers may be inflating original prices immediately before a sale to create the appearance of higher discount percentages. For instance, products have been seen being raised from 400-500 TL to 900 TL before being 'discounted' back to 449 TL.
Yunus Emre Bitmez of the Consumer Union Federation noted that such practices, where discounts are applied to inflated prices, may constitute ‘deceptive commercial practices’ under consumer protection laws. Consumers are advised to track price histories, save screenshots of previous prices, and retain receipts to protect their rights.
