Novi Ligure City Council to discuss Ecolibarna and Attanasio inquiry

The Novi Ligure City Council is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session on September 2. The agenda includes several key local and international issues.

Local matters include the recognition of emergency expenditures following severe weather damage on July 15 and a motion regarding the progress of the Ecolibarna industrial site remediation in Serravalle Scrivia. The motion, supported by multiple political groups, addresses ongoing environmental concerns and critical issues surrounding the long-standing cleanup process.

On an international level, the Mayor will propose that the Council support the establishment of a parliamentary commission of inquiry into the 2021 deaths of Italian Ambassador Luca Attanasio, Carabinieri officer Vittorio Iacovacci, and Congolese citizen Mustafà Milambo in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
