Novi Ligure Council approves emergency spending for storm repairs

The Novi Ligure City Council held a session on September 2 to address several local issues, including the aftermath of severe weather that struck the area on July 15.

The Council unanimously approved the recognition of urgent emergency spending required to repair damages caused by the storm. These interventions primarily focused on tree maintenance in Parco Castello and repairing the roof of the Boccardo school. The works were funded using available surplus through off-budget debt procedures.

Additionally, the municipality has initiated insurance claims for damages and has formally requested that the Piedmont Region recognize a state of calamity. Technical inspections from regional experts are expected to verify the reported damage to both public and private property.
