Novi Pazar hospital to receive three specialist doctors from abroad

The General Hospital in Novi Pazar is expected to strengthen its medical staff by the end of October with the return of three specialists from abroad. The incoming professionals include a neurosurgeon, a surgeon, and an internist.

This recruitment is part of a broader initiative to encourage medical workers from the diaspora to return to Serbia. According to the Ministry of Health, over 400 healthcare workers have returned to the country through cooperation with the diaspora. Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar stated that these returns signify professional trust in the domestic healthcare system. The addition of a neurosurgeon is expected to be particularly impactful for the speed of diagnosis and treatment of critical patients in the Sandžak region.
