Novi Pazar mourns 23-year-old killed in highway collision

A fatal traffic accident on the Novi Pazar–Raška highway has claimed the life of 23-year-old Hamza Dautović. The incident occurred on September 5 at approximately 23:30 near the Ratova pump.

Preliminary reports suggest a high-speed collision involving a Volkswagen Golf and a Volkswagen Polo. The impact was severe enough to throw the Polo against a wall before it overturned on the roadway. Multiple individuals were injured in the crash and transported to the General Hospital in Novi Pazar. While some unofficial reports suggest a vehicle may have been stopped due to a mechanical failure prior to the collision, official authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause.

The community in Novi Pazar has expressed widespread grief, with social media filled with tributes to Dautović, who was described by acquaintances as a hardworking and capable young man. Funeral services are scheduled to take place on September 6 at the Gazilar cemetery.
