Novi Sad court fines gymnasium director and school

The Basic Court in Novi Sad has ordered the director of the ‘Jovan Jovanović Zmaj’ Gymnasium, Radivoje P. Stojković, to pay a fine of 10,000 dinars, while the school itself must pay 100,000 dinars. The penalties were issued because the school leadership failed to comply with a court decision requiring the reinstatement of suspended professors.

Suspended staff members, including Dragan Vulić, Rima Grujić, Marija Vasić, Jovan Travica, and Biljana Prlina, have been involved in this dispute for over two years. Professor Vulić stated that the school management has acted arbitrarily and expressed concern that the fines should be borne by those supporting the director rather than the educational institution itself.
