Novi Sad hosts Assembly of Serbian Unity
Novi Sad hosted the Assembly of Serbian Unity at the Eđšeg Cultural Station, an event organized by the Nasleđe Business-Cultural Center and the Sajmište association. The gathering brought together representatives from cities in Republika Srpska, Montenegro, and Croatia, alongside cultural institutions and public enterprises.
During the assembly, Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin emphasized that unity, togetherness, and the Serbian Orthodox Church have historically served as the foundations for preserving the Serbian people. He noted that Novi Sad has a responsibility to nurture culture, preserve national memory, and promote mutual respect. Mićin also linked social unity to societal progress, such as the development of infrastructure, schools, and hospitals.
Željka Milošev, president of the Nasleđe Business-Cultural Center, stated that the goal of the manifestation is to gather the Serbian people and preserve shared values. Milenko Dačević, a speaker from Republika Srpska, added that such meetings provide an opportunity to remember ancestors, history, and values passed down through generations.
