Novi Sad hosts sixth ‘Varadinski mostovi kulture’ manifestation

The sixth edition of the ‘Varadinski mostovi kulture’ (Novi Sad Cultural Bridges) manifestation has officially opened in Novi Sad and Petrovaradin. The event, which runs from September 18 to 21, 2026, is held under the patronage of the City of Novi Sad, the National Council of the Czech National Minority, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

A key component of the opening is an exhibition at the Archive of Vojvodina titled ‘Czech Volunteers in the Serbian Army in the First World War’ by Czech author Milan Mojžišča. This exhibition was realized through cooperation between the Association of War Volunteers 1912–1918, the Czechoslovak Association of Legionnaires, the Embassy of the Czech Republic, and the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic.

Maja Čeremidžić Šainović, a member of the City Council for Culture, attended the ceremony, noting that the program celebrates multiculturalism and the deep historical ties between Serbia and the Czech Republic.
